Tata
Pedro Cruz, K’u’x ya, Heart of the Lake, Ajq’iij, a Mayan
spiritual guide, is a prominent member of the Council of Elders
of Atitlán. In Korea he was honored as the 2005 World Ambassador
of Peace and the Grand Confederation’s Council of Youths paid
tribute to him on the day Toj, ixim,year E, 2007.
He will be opening in the mornings with the daily fire
ceremonies, will be sharing his ancestral wisdom with us in the
afternoons and will be closing the day each evening by honoring
the spirit of the lake.

Luisa Rothwell is a registered practitioner and international instructor in a broad range of massage and holistic therapies. Ten years ago she opened one of Guatemala’s first Holistic Health Centers in Lake Atitlan’s village of San Marcos. She is a student of Tata Pedro and they work closely together exploring the connections between the world of the Maya and holistic health. |

Doña Maria Sandoval is a well respected local Cuarandera (Healer) and Comodrona (Midwife). She has practiced herbal medicine all her life, having learned from her mother and her aunts who were also Cuaranderas. |

Over 27 years of experience as a guide in the Mayan region, and at the same time researching the Mayan civilization. Working with crystals mainly jade. Specialist in Mayan mysticism & spirituality and living in the jungle. |
