All fees collected through the adoption of TreeBabies

will go toward the nourishment and development of:

  1. the TreeBaby
  2. the land on which it is planted
  3. your choice of one of the following Community Development Plans:
  • Medical Clinic of El Remate: to support the ongoing purchase of supplies and equipment to a medical clinic staffed be volunteers and offering free diagnosis and care to the people of El Remate and surrounding areas.

(La Clinica Medica has been operating in El Remate for over 7 years. In March of 1999, the Clinica received funding from La Asociacion de Molineros de Arroz de Guatemala (ARROZGUA) to construct a proper medical facility, which was inaugurated in October 2000.)

  • Conocimientos - Library, Computer Center, Book Exchange: construction of a proper building to house a center to offer:
    • books on loan
    • library programs
    • computer literacy classes
    • book exchange for tourism - to help support ongoing costs

(Land of approximately 40 mts. sq. with a small open ranchito, has been donated and designated for this development)

  • Women's Center: to construct a Center where the women of the village can gather for education, work or relaxation.

(an area of approximately 100 sq. mts. has been donated and designated for this development).

  • Project Ix-canaan InfoCentro: to maintain and develop the Central Office facilities that are in full operation in the home of Anna Lossing.

(electrical bills, mailing costs, E-mail costs, phone installation - when available - and costs, blank CD's, etc.)
