Project
Ix-canaan is based in El Remate, a tranquil lakeside village located in the
heart of the jungles of El Petén - the northernmost province of Guatemala.
El
Remate, a village of approximately 250 families, is situated on the eastern
banks of Lake Petén Itza, half way between the International Airport
of Flores and the ancient Mayan ceremonial city of Tikal.
The
lands of Project Ix-canaan are located 2 blocks up from the main road directly
across from the main public beach area.
